Wrapping some of the first presents to go under the xmas tree :)

(…locked in love on the day with a present from DH, Cartier Love bracelet.)
The night of 18th of November, our 1st year Wedding Anniversary party, was a success!! Such a relief! The food was awesome. Our dessert station had me speechless-in a good way! Yep, left it in the hands of the chefs at Vue de Monde, had no idea I would love it so much!.
To be able to celebrate the day with the presence of those dearest to us, holds a special place in our hearts. I’m so grateful for many things in my life, my beautiful friends, awesome colleagues, loving family and having a kind and caring husband who I’m so proud of.
So in saying that, 1 year down, lots to go! And it’s going to be likely 1 + 1 = 3, in the coming year :)
PS To those that have messaged me, I will answer back shortly. Sorry for making you wait! I’m mostly on Instagram now because…I’m kinda addicted to it, it’s so much fun! If you like, follow me on @mrpaddingtonbear

Fits like a dream, this irrefutably romantic dress of mine. I bought this dress with the intention of wearing it at our anniversary dinner however I’m now beginning to feel that getting changed in the middle of our dinner party (versus reception) may be a tad too OTT and rather pretentious. Maybe I should have thought about it more before I bought the dress…oops! No regrets here though, if I don’t end up wearing it on the night, I’ll just have to save it for another special occasion :)

The last couple of invitations are going out this week so I took the time to snap a couple (okay, I lie, a few too many) of photos of a set before they all disappear. I had my heart set on having letterpress invites from the very beginning. However due to the exorbitant cost involved in getting customised invites done under the minimum order number, I had to throw that idea straight out the door. BOO!! So, I took it upon myself to make our invites from scratch. I wanted to keep it simple and classy. Nothing fancy. And after a few hours, this is what the end result was. The envelopes were written with a calligraphy script effect. It took me about 5 hours to get all the envelopes done, not bad for a first timer! Each invite contains two cards: - Our monogram print, with dinner details on the back.- A meaningful photo of the two of us (I took this photo on the day DH proposed to me on 10/10/10- fond memories!), with one of my favourite E. E. Cummings poetry printed on the back.  Both cards are tied neatly together with a narrow piece of black (with white stitching) grosgrain ribbon. The hardest part was finding the perfect textured paper (with density). I spent a small fortune on the paper and envelopes, used up a whole cartridge of black ink, so all in all, I estimate our dinner invitations cost me a mere $70 or so? -most of which was the paper itself!
It was exciting to see everything come together, it came out exactly how I imagined. DH was really pleased with the result, as am I :)

To the reader that asked about comfy winter outfits, I’ve finally been able to put something together for you! Sorry for the much delayed response! Please forgive me.
During the cold Winter months, being warm and comfortable is my priority. As long as I have those two points covered, I’m set to walk out the door. I love winter clothes. I love the whole thought process that is put into constructing a layered outfit and I do this by following a few simple steps:1) Layer One, a thin top- cotton tee, silk blouse/shirt, linen tanks etc..2) Layer Two, a fine knit sweater. (Or if you’re not going to wear a jacket, a nubby knit sweater should suffice.)3) Choose a pair or jeans/trousers to match.4) Select a statement jacket or coat.5) Ankle booties (with socks for extra warmth).6) Throw on a scarf and/or beanie.I don’t know what kind of style you’re into but seeing that you like wearing hoodies, I thought I’d put together a collage of casual outfits instead of something more dressy. I hope this helps. X

Hi Cindy, I adore your blog. You have such great, classic style. If you had to choose one bag and one clutch out of the current Oroton range which one would you go for and why? As much as I love all the top designer brands I don't think my budget would allow it.

My apologies for the delay in my reply but here’s my picks from Oroton’s range of handbags. I know you asked for one clutch and one bag but I couldn’t leave out the Clasica Mini Bag- my favorite from their collection. Personally, I’d go for the clutch and the mini bag as it fits better with my lifestyle. I hardly carry large bags anymore. The larger the bag, the more junk I tend to carry. And as for the reasons behind my choices, these 3 bags can be so easily worn. Dressed up on a Saturday night out or toned down on a Sunday brunch. I like versatility when it comes to handbags. And because the colors are all fairly neutral, they’ll go with just about any colour. Oranges, blues and bright prints in spring/summer and also somber colors like navy blue, burgundy and black for the cooler months.

I hope this helps! And thank you for following my blog.

I love your recent OOTD. Can you please tell me where you get your Dieppa Restrepo from? I can't even seem to find a place to try in Melbourne... thanks darl. xo

Awww thanks. I bought my Dina oxfords from Mychameleon. They’re an Aussie owned website which means I didn’t have to pay for exorbitant shipping. Overall, it worked out cheaper purchasing from them than purchasing it from other overseas websites.

If you want to try them on before you commit to buying a pair, you can do so at Le Hoof in Albert Park. They’re the only stockists in Melbourne listed on Dieppa Restrepo’s website.

I hope that helps. Thanks for reading my blog X

I usually go to your blog for style inspiration and I was wondering if, if you have the time, you can help me visualize a comfy winter outfit, it's getting cold here so I tend to hide in a hoodie but I want to look a bit more put together.

Sure! I’ll have some visuals for you by the end of the week :)

Thanks for reading my blog X

Hi! For that anon who asked about the Charlotte Olympia Kitty flats, she should check out this: www(.)urbanoutfitters(.)co(.)uk/deena-+amp-ozzy-black-fox-head-slip-on-shoes/invt/5314463097777/&bklist= I know they are not exactly the same but definitely a cute, cheaper alternative so maybe it will help :) x

Great find! They’re definitely a cheaper alternative. And I like how it’s not completely ripping off the original kitty flats but still cute and whimsical at the same time. Thank you X
