Hi Cindy! I have recently been lucky enough to receive the love bracelet, present from dh (as a belated baby present) and want to ask you do you wear yours 24/7. I have it for almost 2 weeks and have noticed a few scratches already. I have been wearing it on my right wrist as I wear my watch on the left, was wondering whether I should switch it to the left to avoid more scratches/banging as I don't wear my watch much these days. I know scratches are unavoidable but do you have any tips? Thanx! M

Oh, congrats M! The most perfect present to mark a special occasion :) Yes, I wear mine 24/7. And yes, mine too has so many little scratches on it already :(( In the first couple of weeks, I was banging the bracelet all over the place but I’ve soon adjusted to the fact that I need to be more careful with what I do with my left arm! Lol! At work, I push the bracelet as far up as possible and I adjust my keyboard so that part of my arm is not resting on the table. The discomfort I go through to ‘protect’ this bracelet… Urgh!!

Most of the hairline scratches can be made near invisible with a good polish so I try to not stress too much over it. I’m known for being notoriously pedantic about trying to keep things in their original, pristine condition but I refuse to take this bracelet off. I would hardly wear it if that was the case and I feel that it also somewhat defeats the purpose of DH putting it on for me on our 1st wedding anniversary. I know, sappy I am. Lol!

As much as we try to avoid it, scratches are inevitable, especially if you choose to wear it 24/7. I would recommend switching the bracelet over to the left arm so it can avoid unnecessary contact.

Enjoy your bracelet, M! :))

Hello, how are you? Well I just wanted to say that I have added you to a poll on my tumblr. I just think you have a beautiful and adorable blog and thats why I have added you. If you win you will get a link on my tumblr for a whole year! So I wish you luck :)

Thank you for including my humble blog in your poll. Regardless of the outcome, I’m truly flattered to be selected. X

Hi Cindy! What's the best place to buy Repetto ballet flats online? Thanks!!

I’m not sure whether you still need me to answer this for you since I’ve left answering the questions in my inbox for late. Sorry! In case you have yet to make a Repetto purchase online, I’ve answered a similar question here, which might be helpful to you. I also recommend farfetch.com.

Hope that helps. X

love your wall paper! Can I ask where you source them? I have been thinking wallpaper my bedroom but the thought of something I love now will go out of fashion scares me...

Thank you! However, they’re wall decals, not wallpaper :) So if you change your mind, you can peel them off without it leaving any marks.

I bought these off ebay from this seller.  I would have preferred them to be matte instead of vinyl but it doesn’t bug me enough for me to want to change it, for now. And for reference, my dots are 1.5” in size. I find that if the dots are any bigger than this, the room will look wayy too cutesy.

HTH. x

hi cindy! i wanted to know if you have any suggestions for guides to photography? i love your photos and would like to be able to take photos like yours :) thank you!

So sorry for my tardiness in getting back to your question and thank you so much for your kind words. I have previously answered a similar question here, so without wanting to sound like a broken record player, you might want to check it out :)

Your own photography style will take time to develop and my only advice to you is, practise really does make perfect! X

hi cindy! i hope this question isn't too weird: do you ever wear menswear? i know clothing tailored for men often doesn't fit the female figure but i just wanted to know if you've ever worn mens clothes and how you make the fit work. thanks! xx

Nope, not weird at all! I LOVE the simplicity of menswear, especially the classic, well made pieces. I often ask myself why such pieces are so damn hard to find in womenswear.

I’ve bought men’s clothes in the past however due to my small frame, it doesn’t sit properly on me, even extra small :( One of my favourite black sweater is from Rick Owens menswear and surprisingly, the xs fits me perfectly. I’ve had it for so long, it’s getting to a point where it needs to be replaced but I still love it dearly.

My general rule of thumb is that if I’m wearing something loose on top, I compensate it with wearing something fitted on the bottom (skinny jeans, most of the time). I tend to not do the whole ‘androgynous’ look all in one go. I like the juxtaposition of feminine and masculine in an outfit.

I recently came across a brand called Everlane and I love the simplicity of their pieces. Not sure about their quality though but I’m keen on making a purchase from them soon :)
